Loading... Please wait...Fish Sweaters is a complete hot water heating system designed specifically for aquaponics and aquaculture. It heats the fish tank by circulating hot water through a stainless steel heat exhanger that sits in the fish tank or pond. The radiated heat from the heat exchanger heats the tank without needing to circulate the fish water directly, thus preventing the fouling of heating equipment from suspended solids in the fish tank.
Hot water from a variety of sources, including a solar, wood fired boilers or a Fish Sweaters gas heater can be used. There are 4 models based on the type of heat and number of different heating sources. Below is a comparrison chart. Click on the Type of Heating to view more details.

Fish Sweaters is designed with power outages and emergency backup systems in mind using only 20 watts/hr. Its low power requirements won’t tax your generators or batteries. If you’d rather be off the grid completely, Fish Sweaters easily interfaces with PV battery systems, since all electrical systems are 12V. (A transformer is included for running from main power)
